Hailing from Atlanta, Georgia, Nihilect challenges the boundaries of extreme metal, toeing the line between dissonance and harmony. Long established in the area, the four-piece technical death metal act was reimagined in 2024 with a sound that is both chaotic and poignant.
On their debut “Tapestry,” band members Josh Padgett (vocals), Yousef Jeddi (guitar, vocals), Barry Johnson (bass), and Matthew Carmichael (drums) deliver relentless musicality and profound lyrics that explore corruption, war, trauma, religion, and addiction. The EP will be released independently on August 2nd, 2024.
